Elephant Orphanage Visit
- The orphanage is open to the public for one hour daily, typically from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Visitors can observe orphaned elephants playing, feeding, and interacting with their caretakers.
- Learn about each elephant’s individual story and the rehabilitation process that prepares them for release back into the wild.
Conservation Education
- The tour provides insight into wildlife conservation efforts in Kenya, especially the protection of elephants and rhinos.
- Caretakers explain threats such as poaching for ivory and how the Trust mitigates these dangers.
- Learn about anti-poaching units, veterinary programs, and on-ground conservation initiatives.
Adopt an Elephant
- Visitors have the opportunity to adopt an elephant and directly support its care and rehabilitation.
- Adoption includes regular updates on the elephant’s progress and photographs.
- Adopters may also get a chance to visit the Trust again for a more intimate experience with their adopted elephant.
Additional Attractions
- The Trust also cares for orphaned rhinos, with opportunities to see them if available.
- Surrounding areas within Nairobi National Park offer scenic views and possible wildlife sightings.
