17-Day Central Kalahari & Chobe Safari – Botswana
Embark on a 17-day epic safari through Botswana, designed for adventurous travelers seeking an immersive wildlife and wilderness experience. This journey takes you deep into the heart of the Kalahari Desert, the vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve, and the wildlife-rich Chobe National Park, combining game drives, walking safaris, and cultural encounters with local communities.
Botswana’s landscapes are diverse and breathtaking, from the red dunes of the Kalahari to the open savannahs of Chobe and the lush waterways of the Okavango Delta region. Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing and preparing for your safari adventure.
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, where you will spend the next three days exploring the vast desert landscape. The reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, and a range of antelope species. During your stay, you will go on game drives and guided walks to observe the wildlife and learn about the unique desert ecosystem.
After leaving the Central Kalahari, you will travel to the Makgadikgadi Pans, one of the largest salt pans in the world. The pans are home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, wildebeest, and meerkats.
