8-Day Great Wildebeest Migration Safari – Kenya & Tanzania

After breakfast, depart Nairobi on a scenic 5–6 hour drive to the Masai Mara, passing through rolling hills and rural villages.

Arrive at your safari lodge or tented camp for lunch and a brief rest.

Afternoon game drive in the reserve, spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and the beginning of migratory herds.

Overnight in Masai Mara, under the savannah stars in either a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Full days dedicated to game drives tracking the migration, witnessing massive herds of wildebeest and zebras.

Expect predator sightings, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, especially during the river crossing season (July–October).

Optional hot air balloon safari for panoramic views of the Mara plains, followed by a champagne breakfast on landing.

Early breakfast and cross the Kenya–Tanzania border into the Serengeti National Park (visa requirements may apply).

Stop for a picnic lunch en route, then continue to the central Serengeti.

Afternoon game drive, encountering wildebeest herds, zebras, and predators.

Overnight in Serengeti, either in a tented camp or lodge.

Two full days in the Serengeti, following the migration across the park’s vast plains.

Morning and afternoon game drives offer opportunities to see river crossings, predator-prey interactions, and photographic highlights.
