A 4-day, 3-night trip to Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara in Kenya can be an excellent combination of wildlife viewing and natural beauty. This offers a well-rounded experience, combining the birdlife and rhinos of Lake Nakuru with the abundant wildlife of the Maasai Mara.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru National Park is located in the Great Rift Valley, upon arrival proceed on a game-drive. There are also a number of Rothschild's giraffe. Among the predators are lions and leopards, the later being seen much more frequently in recent times. The Park also has large sized python snakes that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees. 1300 Hours: Lunch then relax as you enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Nakuru National Park. 1500 Hours: An exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. 1800 Hours: Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion hill Lodge {Lunch & Dinner}.
Day 2: Nakuru- Masai Mara Game Reserve
We drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles. Overnight at Ashnil Tented Camp or Similar Meal Plan {Lunch & Dinner}.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning game drive game drive return back to your camp for breakfast, after breakfast Full day spend in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodiles with a visit to Mara river. Later Meals and overnight at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game Camp.
Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Drive to Nairobi
Early Morning breakfast at your camp. check out of the camp and Drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport around 3pm. ( Optional to our clients with evening Flights) - if you have evening flight you can do more game drive with packed lunch till around 12:00hrs lunch time, After drive to Nairobi you arrive in Nairobi at around 5 to 6 pm drop off at Airport or back to your hotel.

Full board accommodation whilst on safari. Meal plan as described, B=Breakfast, L=Lunch and D=Dinner. Accommodation in double/twin/triple room sharing. All park entrance fees to include government taxes and service of an english speaking professional driver/guide. Game drives as detailed in the itinerary. Exclusive transport in a safari tour bus 4 x 4 with a game viewing roof hatch and UHF radio. Recommended Mineral Water while on safari.
