A 4-day, 3-night safari that combines visits to Amboseli National Park and Tsavo National Park in Kenya provides a fantastic opportunity to explore two distinct ecosystems and encounter a wide range of wildlife. Amboseli is famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its large herds of elephants, while Tsavo is known for its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Amboseli National Park
Drive across the Athi plains home of the proud Masai tribe to arrive in Amboseli National Park in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive is planned. In addition to elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and the elusive leopard, nearly every vista within the park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is big game country: elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and giraffe. Two game runs are planned today, both which will introduce you to the intense beauty and drama that fill each day here. Predators stalk the herds of grazing animals, recreating the age-old drama of life and death under the African sun, in a setting so lushly beautiful. We return to our lodge or cozy Camp/ Lodge for a steaming bath, cocktails and a sumptuous dinner. Day 3: Amboseli – Drive to Tsavo West National Park
Today we enjoy a game drive to the secluded heart of big game country. In addition to Elephant, Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo and Lions, nearly every vista within the Park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Breakfast at the lodge; optional visit to a Masai Village and depart for Tsavo West National Park. After check-in and lunch, an afternoon game drive in this vast Park is planned. Tsavo West National Park covers 20,808sq km (8,034sq miles), The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops. With a permanent water source, the park is virtually guaranteed enormous herds and excellent game viewing including Cheetah, Lion, Leopard and Hyena and a herd of over 3,500 Elephants. Day 4: Tsavo West National Park – Drive to Nairobi
After an early morning game drive followed by breakfast, depart by road to Nairobi with game viewing en-route. Lunch will be served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi (at an extra cost). After lunch, transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight with Africa Safari memories which will last forever. Meal Plan {Breakfast}
