7-Day Uganda Safari – Gorillas, Golden Monkeys, Lake Mburo & Cultural Experiences

This 7-day safari offers an immersive Ugandan experience, combining mountain gorilla trekking, primate tracking, wildlife game drives, boat cruises, and cultural encounters. From the equator to lush forests and scenic lakes, you’ll explore the diverse landscapes and wildlife of Uganda while engaging with local communities.

Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrival Entebbe

Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by Chaz Tours and Travel Guide who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. Transfer to your hotel after which you will be briefed about your safari. Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have your money changed this day. Overnight at your hotel. BB.

Day 02 Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (490 Kms)

After breakfast, transfer south wards to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. Have a stopover for lunch before continuing with your journey to Bwindi.

Day 03 Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla trekking within Bwindi Impenetrable NP, Track Mountain Gorillas and other primates you will enjoy gorilla tracking within Bwindi. Following breakfast, go for the morning briefing just before searching the forest on this highlight of Gorilla trekking that may take the whole day. You will trek the gorillas through the sloped covered with thick vegetation in the company of a safari guide plus trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can at times be tough and lengthy, however when you finally see the glorious silverback, you will forget all discomforts. On finding the gorillas you will be guided to stay within a 6 meters’’ distance from the gorillas, you will observe them for an hour as you stare into their big brown eyes Gorilla trekking activity is unpredictable. It is challenging to foresee the number of hours you will track. The gorilla outing may take anything between 2 and 8 hours. Anticipate walking lengthy distances in steep muddy terrain, at times with rain overhead, prior to meeting the gorillas. You will be required to be in physical condition to track. For purposes of conservation visitors are only allowed to spend just one hour with the gorillas. chimpanzee, black & white colobus, Lhotse’s, red tailed monkeys plus blue monkey, as well as the renowned residents of Bwindi- the mountain gorilla. Bwindi is an ideal destination for watching birds. It has 350 bird species among which are the 7 IUCN red data listed plus 90% of the Albertine rift endemic, species that are challenging or even impossible to see in any other part of East Africa. There after Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge.

Day 04 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park (270 Kms)

After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon enjoy the unique 2 -hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. Overnight at your lodge FB.

Day 05 Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kibale National Park (157 Kms)

Early morning go for a game drive where you may spot lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. Later transfer to Kibale National Park. Overnight at your lodge FB.

Day 06 Chimpanzee Tracking

After breakfast we visit Kibale Forest National Park, where the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa is exceptionally represented. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee known to be a delightful ape. It is also a home of species like the rare I’Hoest’s monkey, the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon among others. The walk takes 2-3 hours. After lunch go for Bigodi swamp walk. Overnight at Crater Safari Lodge.

Day 07 Kibale National Park – Kampala – Departure

After breakfast transfer back to Kampala arriving in time to catch your flight back home.
