Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Morning: Early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Begin your journey to Amboseli National Park. En Route: Enjoy views of Kenya’s diverse landscapes, including Mount Kilimanjaro’s towering peak. Arrival & Check-in: Arrive at your lodge in Amboseli in time for lunch. Afternoon Game Drive: Head out for a late afternoon game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds, with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a majestic backdrop. Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a luxury lodge or tented camp in Amboseli.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Early Morning Game Drive: Start your day with a sunrise game drive, where you can see elephants, lions, zebras, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Breakfast & Relaxation: Return to the lodge for breakfast, then spend some time relaxing. Mid-Morning Cultural Visit (Optional): Visit a local Maasai village for a cultural experience where you can learn about the Maasai way of life. Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
Morning Game Drive & Breakfast: Enjoy a final morning game drive in Amboseli, then have breakfast at the lodge. Drive to Tsavo West: After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo West is known for its volcanic landscape, wildlife, and attractions like Mzima Springs. Mzima Springs Visit: Upon arrival, visit the crystal-clear waters of Mzima Springs, home to hippos and crocodiles. You can walk along paths and view underwater life through glass viewing chambers. Afternoon Game Drive: Explore Tsavo West’s rugged landscape, looking for leopards, lions, and the famous "red elephants." Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a lodge or camp in Tsavo West.
Day 4: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park
Morning Game Drive & Breakfast: Begin with a morning game drive, then have breakfast before departing for Tsavo East National Park. Transfer to Tsavo East: Drive through the Tsavo wilderness to reach Tsavo East, known for its open savannah and large elephant herds. Arrival & Lunch: Check in at your lodge in Tsavo East and have lunch. Afternoon Game Drive: Explore Tsavo East’s vast landscapes on an afternoon game drive. Day 5: Tsavo East – Mombasa Beach
Morning Game Drive: Early morning game drive to spot more wildlife as the day begins. Transfer to Mombasa: After breakfast, depart for Mombasa. The drive takes you through the scenic countryside, arriving at the coast in the early afternoon. Arrival at Beach Resort: Check-in at a luxury beach resort in Mombasa. Afternoon Beach Relaxation: Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beach or the pool, taking in the soothing sounds of the Indian Ocean. Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a beach resort in Mombasa.
Day 6: Full Day Mombasa Beach
Relaxation & Leisure: Enjoy a full day of relaxation at the beach. Take advantage of the resort’s facilities, including water sports such as snorkeling, windsurfing, and diving. Optional Excursions: You can opt for additional activities like a half-day Mombasa city tour, where you can visit Fort Jesus, Old Town, and local markets. Dinner & Overnight: Return to your beach resort for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 7: Mombasa – Nairobi (or Departure)
Morning Beach Time: Spend a relaxed morning by the beach or swimming pool. Departure: Check out from your resort and transfer to Moi International Airport for a flight back to Nairobi or your onward destination.
