A 4-day, 3-night trip to Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya can be an incredible adventure, offering a mix of wildlife safaris, scenic beauty, and cultural experiences. the Masai Mara is best known for its wildlife, and the best time for a safari would depend on the seasonal migrations of animals.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi — Drive to Lake Naivasha

Pick up from your hotel at 9:00 am and drive via the Rift Valley escarpment with breathtaking views of the world's greatest land rift to papyrus fringed Lake Naivasha. Sunset boat ride to see the hippos. Elsamere, the former home of the late Joy Adamson who, together with her husband George, became world famous for their pioneering conservation work and relationship with the Lioness Elsa, as told in her best-selling book and subsequent film: Born Free. After lunch we take a boat ride to Crescent Island. Many different types of animals are found in the Island as we take a walk with the expert resident naturalist. Giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeest, Gazelles, Impala, Dik diks can be seen during the walk. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Elsermere.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha — Drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles. Overnight at Ashnil Tented Camp or Similar {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains of Maasai Mara are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people (at an extra cost) to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Overnight at Ashnil Tented Camp or Similar {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}.

Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Drive to Nairobi

Early morning tea/coffee or Hot chocolate then depart for a morning game drive. Breakfast will be served at the camp, depart by road to Nairobi with game viewing en-route. Lunch will be served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi (at an extra cost). After lunch, transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight.

All park entrance fees to include government taxes and service of an english speaking professional driver/guide. Game drives as detailed in the itinerary.
