Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala- Entebbe (47 Kms)
Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by Chaz Tours and Travel Guide who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. Transfer to your hotel after which you will be briefed about your safari. Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have your money changed this day. Overnight at your hotel. BB.
Day 2: Kampala- Kibale National Park (358 Kms)
After an early morning breakfast, you will depart Kampala for Fort Portal arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon go for Bigodi swamp walk. The lodge comprises of seven ultra-luxurious double/twin cottages and two larger cottages each with two rooms to sleep up to four. These family cottages are ideal for larger groups or families. All the cottages have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water as well as solar lighting, internet access, individually designed furniture and stunning scenery around Lake Nyinabulitwa. Amenities at the lodge include a restaurant, bar, lounge, crafts shop, mobile spa facility and campfire area overlooking the Crater Lake.
Day 3: Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park (157 Kms)
After breakfast we visit Kibale Forest National Park, where the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa is exceptionally represented. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee known to be a delightful ape. It is also a home of species like the rare I’Hoest’s monkey, the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon among others. The walk takes 2-3 hours. Later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range. Overnight at your lodge FB.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your morning breakfast, have an early morning Game drive where you may have an opportunity to see the lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck among others. After lunch enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. It is a 42kms channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. It offers and excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species. Overnight at your lodge FB.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park– Lake Mburo National Park (279 Kms)
After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Centred on a series of swamp-fringed lakes its bird life is very rich. The green acacia woodland harbour’s wildlife like the Zebra, warthog, Elands, Impala among others. These can be seen even as you enter the park. After lunch go for an evening boat cruise on L. Mburo and get quite close to the croc and hippos. Overnight at your lodge FB.
Day 6: Lake Mburo – Kampala
After breakfast, have a game drive before proceeding to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos, then another stops over at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using traditional methods passed down through the generations. Time allowing go for a city tour or simple visit the craft villages before being dropped at the Entebbe International Airport in time for your flight.
